Our renaissance guitar is based on the woodcut from Guillaume Morlayes’s Premier Livre de Chansons printed in Paris in 1552. Guillaume, a French lutenist, composer and publisher was a pivotal figure in the history of early plucked instruments blending courtly refinement with popular dance rhythms.
Our model has a scale length of 520mm although we are happy to take commissions for shorter or longer lengths if required.
